I dont think its splitting hairs to say that the Constitution, including amendments, was not ordained , explicitly, by " will of the people", ie popular vote of the populus , but was of the will of God, His Word, natural laws also attesting. " Sovereign command of the people" sounds like a pure democracy , not a constitutional republic. In the Declaration of Independence, if memory serves, mentions that if this particular gov't were to be dissolved, that the new gov't must be in accord with the tennants of the Declaration. That is my paraphrase/interpretation. So , even if the majority of Americans were to unite and demand new gov't, its form must be in accord with the Decl. of Ind. , correct? And that uprising to usurp govt in accord with the Constitution and Decl. of Indep. would be clear treason , correct?
