Presidents Day is a holiday with deep roots in American history.
In the 1800s, communities across the country celebrated George Washington's Birthdayeach year on February 22nd. In 1879, this tradition was officially recognized as a federal holiday.
Later, in 1968, Congress passed a law moving the observance to the third Monday in February. The holiday evolved into Presidents Day, a day to honor all of America’s presidents and their contributions to our nation.
To commemorate this occasion, we’re sharing a selection of articles from WallBuilders that highlight the lives, leadership, and legacies of several presidents. We hope these resources inspire and deepen your appreciation for the leaders who have shaped our nation.
